About Sai Ying Pun

After British army arrival at Possession Point (now Hollywood Park next to Possession Street) in 1841, the 800 or so volunteer soldiers from India and Bangladesh stationed in West Point (hillside of Water Street). Thereafter, the area west of Hollywood Park was called Sai Ying Pun 西營盤, meaning 'Western Garrison'. Flourishing trades required construction of piers, docks, warehouses, and properties to accommodate merchants for rice, dry seafoods, and herbal medicines, and the workers who supported these activities. Even today, one can still find remnants of the early colonial past in the district. World War II brought mass destruction, giving rise to reconstruction of many buildings to four to six storey tenement buildings with shops on ground floor. Rapid population growth and technological advancement necessitate these post war buildings to be redeveloped into highrises.

Elle Tam

Elle Tam's client say:

The agent was really good and professional in helping with the apartment hunt, and provided a very well curated selection of options, one of which that was eventually selected. She was also very supportive and informative in following up after moving in into the apartment.

Thierry Keung

Thierry Keung's client say:

We had an amazing experience with Thierry Keung. He helped us find our dream apartment after weeks of searching thanks to his great local knowledge and connections. He was patient, listened to our many requests, and accommodated everything with a smile. I would absolutely use Thierry again and refer any of my friends to receive his professional services. We have used many agents during our years in Hong Kong and Thierry was by far the best.

May Lee

May Lee's client say:

We recently worked with Margaret Lee at Proway to find our new home in Tin Hau. We can't recommend her enough. She worked hard to understand our specific requirements and found us our dream home, then helped with a complicated negotiation process as well quarterbacking all the little fiddly things that go with purchasing a property. Throughout the whole process, she was honest, responsive, patient and understanding - everything we could have asked for!
